Provident Fund (PF) is a social security legislation where the employer and employee equally contribute towards a fund managed by the EPFO under the Employees' Provident Funds & Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952, which promotes saving and ensures pension in applicable cases after superannuation of the employee.
